The challenge
Where they started.
PKB Civils is a civil engineering contractor delivering groundworks, drainage and infrastructure projects across the region.
Like many construction businesses, new work came from the directors: their relationships, referrals and reputation. That works, but it does not scale, and it ties up the people who should be leading delivery.
They wanted marketing to do the heavy lifting, and build a brand that attracts opportunities rather than relying on the directors' networks.
The approach
What we did.
We started with a strategy day to clarify their positioning, ideal clients and messaging.
Then we delivered against the plan: a rebuilt digital presence, LinkedIn thought leadership for Ben, and a content engine that consistently shows their expertise.
The results
The payoff.
Marketing now generates qualified opportunities, so the directors can focus on delivery and relationships instead of chasing every lead.
In the first 12 months, the programme attributed over £200k in revenue, grew organic traffic 32%, and built a LinkedIn newsletter of 600 subscribers.
In their words
“Steve conducted a Marketing Strategy Workshop with us in October 2024, which has helped bring clarity to the marketing of our business in 2025. Steve's approach really helped us get more strategic with our marketing, and shortly after the workshop, we received a marketing strategy and plan that has given us direction for 2025. Steve has been working with our Marketing Manager to help execute the strategy and plan, and we're already starting to see early results with our Google search rankings improving and bringing us qualified leads. We're excited to continue working together as we build a brand that grows with the business.”
